Solid Waste and Refuse Information for Urbanna

Refuse Disposal

The Town provides regular trash pickup on the following schedule:

April through Mid-November (Friday after Oyster Festival)
Tuesdays & Fridays

Mid-November through March
Tuesdays only

Curbside refuse pick-up will take place between 8:00am and 5:00pm

In case of inclement weather, collection may be canceled, with every effort made to resume when safe to do so

No more than 2 containers per residence, with a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs.

Only items placed inside a garbage can/container located curbside will be collected

Unacceptable items for collection include, but are not limited to:

• Building materials
• Brick
• Masonry
• Dirt
• Drywall
• Structural lumber
• Furniture
• Mattresses and/or box springs
• Large appliances
• Tires
• Automotive batteries and/or parts
• Sheet metal
• Animal carcasses
• Human or animal waste
• Hazardous substances

Effective August 15, 2021, the Town of Urbanna does not provide recycling collection.
