Doing Business in Urbanna

Business License

Urbanna is a great place to own and grow a small business. The Urbanna Business Association is comprised of town and local businesses that work together to make Urbanna a successful place to conduct business.

The Town requires all businesses to hold a Town Business License. The rates are based on gross sales and are as follows:

$0.00 to $100,000.00 Gross Receipts ~ $50.00

$100,000.01 to $300,000.00 Gross Receipts ~ $150.00

Over $300,000.01 ~ $300.00

The Town also requires a Special Business license for businesses that participate in select special events such as the Urbanna Oyster Festival. Rates for those licenses are:

Handmade Arts & Crafts/Specialty/Wine ~ $125.00

Food ~ $450.00
