Licenses and Tags
    Vehical Decals

If you keep your car, truck, motorcycle or trailer in Urbanna, you must have a town decal, which is actually a metal tag that says “Urbanna.” You bolt it onto your front license plate and update it each year with a sticker. Tags and stickers are $20. If you have a town tag, you do not need a county decal. To get your tag, bring your vehicle registration to the Town Office during regular business hours. Renew tags by February 15 each year.

    Dog Tags

All dogs must wear a county dog tag on their collar. Dog tags are renewable by January 31 each year. To get and renew a dog tag, present a current, valid rabies certificate to the Middlesex County Treasurer and pay the license fee. The Treasurer’s office is located in the Saluda Courthouse Complex. The annual dog tag fee is:

    Male $4
    Female $5
    Unsexed $4

    Business License

If you do business in the Town of Urbanna (whether you occupy a physical location here or not), you need a Town of Urbanna Business and Professional License. Just fill out a simple application and remit your annual license fee to the Town Clerk by July 1:

$50 for annual gross receipts up to $100,000
$75 for annual gross receipts from $100,000-300,000
$100 for annual gross receipts over $300,000
